OWENSBORO, KY. — Jagoe Homes, a third-generation, family-owned builder with more than 20 active communities across Indiana and Kentucky, has partnered with Higharc to modernize its product development process and bring new home designs to market more quickly.
The company, which builds 350-400 homes per year, has been a staple of the region since 1939. Founded by craftsman Carlos Jagoe Sr., Jagoe Homes has earned a reputation for quality construction, innovative design, and value-driven service. More than 10,000 families now live in a Jagoe home.
Jagoe leaders say the partnership with Higharc supports the company’s goal of offering more move-up options for existing customers. As one of the region’s most trusted builders, many prospective buyers already live in Jagoe-built houses. As those homeowners look for larger or more feature-rich homes, the company aims to provide designs that reflect evolving expectations for style, flexibility, and price.
“Buyers want more in their second home purchase, and we want to deliver on that. We’ve made incremental improvements over the years, but buyers deserve more than small tweaks,” said Brad Jagoe, CEO of Jagoe Homes. “Higharc gives us the ability to rethink our home plans in a meaningful way so we can continue earning the trust of the families we build for.”
Modernizing a Manual, Time-Intensive Design Process
Like many production builders, Jagoe’s process for launching new home plans has historically been manual and lengthy. Major redesigns and new product development required coordination across multiple teams and tools, often slowing progress and limiting how frequently new plans could be introduced.
Without real-time integrated estimating, Jagoe’s design team often invested weeks refining new concepts only to discover late in the process that a plan didn’t meet cost or margin expectations. In some cases, promising designs were ultimately abandoned after significant effort.
“Today it can take us four to eight weeks to get a new plan ready for market, which limits how many new products we can launch a year,” said Terry Gebhard, Vice President of Architectural Design at Jagoe Homes. “Higharc gives us a faster, more flexible way to design, iterate and release new plans.”
As Jagoe evaluated how to refine and consolidate its 12 existing product series, these product development constraints made it difficult to frequently redesign existing plans or retire older ones.
Higharc Streamlines Plan Development to Help Builders Bring Homes to Market Faster
Higharc’s platform unifies design, estimating and interactive 3D sales experiences, giving builders real-time cost visibility and sales materials as designs evolve. Jagoe plans to use the technology to shorten product development cycles, reduce repetitive drafting work and run value-engineering scenarios earlier in the process.
According to the company, the partnership will help:
- Improve speed to market for new home plans
- Reduce manual plan maintenance and rework
- Ensure design decisions align with cost targets
- Give buyers more confidence with photorealistic renderings
- Support faster analysis of land opportunities with conceptual designs and pricing
“You don’t achieve the kind of longevity Jagoe Homes has without deeply understanding your market and continually raising the bar,” said Marc Minor, CEO at Higharc. “Their team is already best-in-class operationally and are now focused on accelerating true product innovation. Higharc gives them a unified environment where plan redesigns and product development can move at the speed their strategy requires, and we’re excited to partner with them as they continue delivering exceptional value to today’s home buyers.”
Carrying Forward an 85-Year Legacy
Jagoe Homes continues to follow the values established by the Jagoe family across three generations: craftsmanship, customer service, cost efficiency, and attention to detail. The company says the partnership with Higharc builds on that foundation by equipping its teams with modern tools to create homes that meet today’s expectations for choice and clarity.
The company will begin rolling out new product development initiatives supported by Higharc in the coming months.
